Hello,

I tried my first ever re-paint today, but something went wrong.  Can somebody tell me what I may have done wrong?

Now that is bizarre, it looks like the bitmap has been rotated 90 degrees!  Can you post a pic of your C172_T.bmp file?  In .jpg form of course  Smiley

It should look like this:

Thanks for the help Gryshnak.  That is exactly what had happened.  Somehow during my editing, the image was rotated 90 degrees.  This how it looks now.  Not exactly what I wanted, but its my first try, and Ill have to keep working at it.  Thanks again.

Experience is what you get when you don't get what you wanted in the first place  Grin

Welcome to the world of repaints!  What you learned by doing this one, will make the next one easier.  I was really pleased with my first repaint at the time, but I look back now and I know I could do a better job of it.  That's the way it will always be.  Just remember to have fun with it along the way (I have a couple of repaints with smiley faces  Smiley Smiley Smiley on the wings just because I felt like it).

Nice lookin' repaint . . . I like the swirls you're used.

Your 'mistake' is similar to one I made but it taught me by using the incorrect filename, one can have any (extended) texture cover the assigned area. I spent the better part of an afternoon fooling around with this . . .
