Hi Butterfly
Yes.
Find an EZ-Scenery forum
(perhaps SimV hosts one?) and read what the BGLnerds are doing; it's very intersesting and useful material -- complete with FREE samples Cheesy

Importing models into gmax from FS bgls is (thank goodness!) not possible! Ez-Scenery is one method of using models, but remember to get permission from the designer of the library you would like to use an object from. The library scanning feature of Ez-scenery is bad news for scenery design, I know designers who are seriously considering pulling thier files & not releasing further sceneries as there is  less control over what they have produced then ever before. If you wish to use a library use only those released for public use.

This may seem a little strong, but there seems to be very little thought given to the implications of this new development, in effect it is supplying the means for piracy, but before where a consious effort to disassemble the BGL had to be made the end-user of the program may not even be aware of what he is doing.

Just a heads up.

Yeh, that is a little strong. Its scenery. I don't see a problem w/ EZ scenery in being able to move objects where I want them to create a more realistic environment. If I'm not mistaken, there is a way to "lock" scenery in certain areas so it can't be moved anywhere on the planet by a tool like EZ scenery. A lot of the default MS scenery is like this on EZ scenery. I understand the arguement of people changing other peoples scenery and re-releasing it, but what about those of us who just do it as a hobby at our own house and use it for ourselves? I do all kinds of things w/ other peoples scenery on my own computer, but i don't upload it for other people to use. Its just for my enjoyment. If you're against supplying a means for piracy then you should take out your DVD or CD burner and throw it in the trash. There's always a new way to prevent piracy, and shortly afterwards there will be a way to get around it. If people want to 'pull' their scenery, then let them. After all, its just a video game. No one should be that caught up in a fantasy world. Not meant to offend you or anyone else; I do appreciate some of the great stuff you guys release. But not all of us are out looking for a way to rip someone off.

I agree with much of what you say brantmanga, my post was merely to raise the awareness to the fact that many designers do not wish for their files to be disasembled, modified and re-released without their knolwedge lol! I thought it worth mentioning due to the nature of the thread being related to the request for information on how to do exactly that lol!

Dear oh dear what a mess I get myself into these days ROFLMAO!  Embarrassed  Kiss
