Depends on which version you have:

FSUIPC ver. 2.x, works with FS2002 and earlier and does not need to be registered. http://files.fsnordic.net/Flight_Simulator/Miscellaneous/Add-on_programs/

FSUIPC ver 3.x, works with FS2004 and earlier. Only needs to be registered if you purchase the program so that you can use the enhanced features. You will receive the reg. 'key' upon purchase. http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

If your only using FSUIPC so freeware FS addons and programs that require it can link to FS then you dont have to register FSUIPC. You may have to 'register' the addon within FSUIPC using the 'Register an Application Program' bar to enter a 'key'. Go here for a list of 'keys'.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.          Igor Sikorsky

Dave,

Your link to ver. 2.x is not accurate.  This link is to (as of today) ver 3.5.3.

Ver. 2.975 is still available here.

I recommend ver. 2.975 for FS2002 because you won't have any registration problems and ver. 3.x doesn't add any functionality to FS2002.

Thanks Webb

Been a while since I downloaded from my (old) link and the description still says ver 2.975.

Duly noted and I'll change my post to save confusion.
