I like the burner in the second one, I agree that the first is over sharpend.  Also near the engine on the second there is some coruption I think caused by the compresion, you could try using a better quality form of jpg compresion such as cubic that I don't think would increase picture size (just take more time to save).

I concur. Sharpening, at times leaves too much of a halo around the edges and is easy to see, but in any event, fine shots to display here and make many of us jealous.........good stuff Andy ! Shocked

Thanks gents ......... I think part of the problem with the first one is the compression as well as the sharpening. The uncompressed image looked much clearer.

Had it not been for the pilot in the first shot I swore i was looking at a real photo Shocked. Superb shots!! Great stuff!!
