Has anybody ever had trouble removing (clearing) a texture once it's applied in FSDS ?

I can't get an applied texture OFF of my fuselage... It happened once before and I seem to remember selecting and applying it in FSDS while it's an extended bitmap. Or am I just losing my mind (building flightsim models will do that)  Roll Eyes

Make sure, that for some reason, the texture was not applied to the POLYGONS.

This could happen if you had polygons selected when assigning a texture.

You can clear it from the texture assignment screen (F4) but see if the  "Clear Polygon textures" button is enabled.  If it is, then, click on it.

Thanks for the quick response, Felix. That's a good thing to file away, but it wasn't the problem.

This is the best I can make  of it: I went in and did some fine poly deletion.. point addition.. and remade polys from selected points and I must have messed up some surface normals. "Check Parts" solved THIS problem but made a mess out of the area I was tinkering with.

Long night of rebuilding ahead.. *sigh*..
