OK well I wouldn't go as far to say I "hate" it, but it is rather offputting IMO. Distracts you from the actual site.

I like it. Plus it took days of comparing paint swatches before Pete finally had the right mix...

I like it, I remember we had tried a couple different things and this was what was decided upon. I think it looks good.

IMHO, the colors of the forums and website are easy on the eyes. Other forums like Turboquid, etc. seem to strain the eyes a little.

To my knowledge, it has never been those colors and I have been here ever since the this forum was first open. It has been these colors for at least a full year (unless Pete or one of the admins have been playing practical jokes again).

Never saw it - can't comment, but I know Pete is a member of the Anti-eye Sore Background for Websites Brigade along with myself.
I doubt he'd have anything grubby up.
Plus, if he did it isn't recommended you tell him in that way.

It could be an ad. VERY annoying ... & shouldn't happen.
Usually they don't last long - but it's all I can think it is as nothing on the site has changed.

M.R.Maiornikov, Pete burns people slowly in damp fires nailed to trees by their assets for such remarks.
I'm warning you - be careful!

Now I come to think of it this has happened to me before now. I forget what it was all about now but I'm sure it was something my end & nothing to do with the forum or the main site. In my case rebooting the PC usually fixed it.

man people just stop these speculations :every website gives an admin the right to change the background. I bet pete did it and i didn't like it. There is nothing,
nothing
,related to computers here.

Or maybe not pete but some other admin. Man i should have took the printscreen, instead of white background it was in lines and had purple,white,back,etc...colors.

oh man, guy get it straight. The thing i saw was in no way related to computers. I bet one of the admins just changed the background.Because when i clicked on forum the background was normal white. Now a message to admins : Just admit you did something to background and end this speculations.Anyway i don't even know why this thread goes on. The background is white now so the person who changed it before changed it back. End of story. Next time i will take pictures of it.Never thaugh this could strat conspiracy theories.

My understanding is that the only admin that has power on the site itself is Pete-he is the true owner of the site. I believe the other admins are for the forum only. If the forum only was changing colors, it could be any of the admins-but I think only Pete can make changes to the main site itself.
That said, Pete said he didn't change anything so he didn't-why would he lie. Either it was an ad or just a computer glitch-who cares though, if its working now then its working.

Nothing was changed - Anyway all changes are made on non live pages & tested 1st -
+ We don't make mistakes & not admit it.
Some ads can indeed effect the way the whole page is displayed. They are not supposed to happen & usually will be spotted by our agency & removed quickly - as seems to have happened in this case.

Exactly Craig!
The only "control" we have over anything site related is the forum itself.
This does not include writing script at all.
We can really only edit, create, move topics, remove topics, member banning, that sort of thing.
