Sorry Pete, one of those annying pop-up-hate-threads...  Grin

I've noticed since recently I get pop-ups when using the download pages. All about system checks and my system beeing insecure, etc. I know you don't control the content, but why do they pop up in that section? Or is it just me?

Thanks in advance!

Kris

There is only 1 pop under code on the entire site & that is on the menu page & limited to only 1 small pop under per session - in other words if you gop back to the menu page you will not get it again. These are fairly innocuous & strictly controlled. No spyware - no pc invasive software. Harmless & honest  ads - that's our 100% policy.

If you are getting pop ups on the general site or forums you may have a trojan - & it did not come from this site.

I have a similar and maybe - or maybe not - a related problem. As well as pop-ups, I can download from other sites (checked to make sure) but this one either "times out" or ignores the request.
I've been a bit leary of uploading and, as you may remember, the only thing I know I've succeeded to upload are some pictures for the forums.

Likely to be a different problem. The downloads are normal so it isn't a universal problem - suggest you try a few things.

1 Try another browser just to eliminate that possibility.
2 Try disabling your firewall or using an alternative such as Zone Alarm. (again for elimination purposes)
3 Make sure any download manager is off. The free site is not compatible with download managers.
