Well the great Wilson Pickett has passed away aged 64. For our younger members he did the originals of Mustang Sally and In The Midnight Hour.
I think I'm having a soul music night tonight...

Not to mention an awesome (and very moving) remake of the Beatles "Hey Jude", "Land of a Thousand Dances", "Momma told Me Not to Come", and the original version of "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love" from the Blues Brothers soundtrack.  I have been a fan of his for years and was deeply saddened to hear of his passing.  A true original is gone and no one will ever be able to match his talent... Sad
