Hi Pete, have you considered a simv shop to bring in some extra revenue for the site? you could sell things like t-shirts mugs and mouse pads with the simv logo on them. This could also tie into a possible future new logo contest with the winner getting a free t-shirt with their logo on it.
I know alot of sites now do this to bring in extra money.

50 views and only 1 reply? Is the thought that unappealing?

This has been discussed many times & it is one of the things that has been in the works for several years - we;ve actually had a shop before but were ripped off by the nice (not) outfit that ran it (still operating & based in Europe & owned by a schmuck).

As always - anything this site does will be self generated - not copied - original - & to us, the best!   Wink

Why? Because genuinely - Simviation operates from the user view.

Think Global. It's the world we live in.

How about this...a SimV shirt with your user name printed on it...that way..if anyone walks out on the street...we can instantly know who they are...and we can talk like old buddies....all this for an extra cost...I would be willing to pay up... Wink

Nothing like usernames included, I mean the speed which most of you lot change them it would be pointless anyway.
Just a banner type logo on the T-shirt across the chest in the middle. Mouse mats simmilar again and the mug too.
Perhaps even have polo and suit type shirts with the small simv insignia in the top corner like alot have, with the lettering varying colour for the colour of the shirt. Just some ideas.

I for one am not planning to change my name for a little while now since this name is my real name...and if someone does it for extra cash they wouldn't really joke about would they...that's what I think anyway...but the Kris's shirts looks awesome... Grin

Make it something useful, preferably, pertinent to the site's theme. Personally, I'm not into 8) T-shirts although they are a fairly cheap acquisition. Mugs are OK, depending upon the individual -- oh, the drinking type... well, same guidline Cheesy. 8)
