I was just wondering if Simviation ever considered providing an RSS feed.
If so, why not?

Is this what you are referring to?

http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2002/12/18/dive-into-xml.html

If so - how would you see it fitting in here ? From the description I'm not sure how we could use something like that - but as always - open to ideas! Smiley

Thanks

That is exactly what I mean Pete.
How to use it here?
Well, you could use it to inform people of newly uploaded aircraft, ,scenery, utilities, etc.
Also you could post stuff like your freeware news.
Anything that changes frequently.
For instance, you could use it to announce contests here in the forum.
As soon as you posted on your RSS, people that subscibe to your RSS, would immediatly see when something new was uploaded, or new news has been posted and would probably  come right to simviation, you would more than likely see even more return hits to your site. (Not that you are lacking in site hits).
Some sites send out emails to inform their members, but I think this is just as effective.
Last but not least, it would improve an already excellent site.  Smiley

I think it is a good idea as well.  It would save me the bother of having to visit the site everyday to check for new addons.  I could simply see what's new in my news reader program and if I see something I like, the feed could provide a direct link to the addon, and I could get it without ever having to visit the SimV main page!
