Maybe a tutorial would help people out more then showing us what you can do, we see what photoshops capabilities are in almost every post.... Tongue

Remember sometimes "less is more"

so  i have looked at some of the recent screenshots and have been disapointed... Sad you have a $600 copy of photoshop and all you do is a heat blur???  quite a waste

Thats a pretty rude way to say it,im just experimenting with heat blur and if you dont like it or are dissapointed, maybe keep it to yourself

i am sorry if i do offend  but it isent the most offending comment   we must rember the first amendment is freedom of speech  it seems to me it is becomeing freedom of speech unless i am offended    but this is not a topic for this forum    and perhaps i will find a way to post a tutorial and i do now see that i was just showing off    it was midnight i couldent sleep and i wasent thinking   i am sorry for anyone new if i may have hurt your fealings

(btw:  its just a forum no reason to have hurt fealings quite easy to ignore a post if you dont like it)

Freedom of speech means nothing here. This forum is an international community governed by one man who is leader and god of simv. Pete. It is a friendly community and to keep it that way things like being rude to people are not allowed. If you dont like certain things like Edits, make a tutorial, instead of trying to patronise people with the i'm better than you attitude. Help those with your talents.

Not that I am an expert on editing and I've just recently installed GIMP (yes Björn you are being listened to...)

but if you are gonna critizise...The last shot the light should go further..They now look like they are shining on a wall...they don't fade away but stop...

I like them though Grin

To be honest, your shots don't seem to live up to $600 either.. Roll Eyes

Guys, you've got to remember that this is a competitive forum- it involves time, effort and praise and maybe from what I've read...envy.
Now, call me an infidel here, but the US constiution applies only to the US...not the other countries of the world and so it is false to use it as a universal proof of right to free speech, be that offensive or otherwise. Now if we start carrying our constitution in here, next thing we know we're going to have statements like "X Amendment gives me a right to carry a gun, so I'm putting a gun in ma avatar!" (Interestingly enough the US constituiton was aimed mainly at white people when it was drafted but thats not my point).

Enough is enough!

Less arguing, more edited screenies!

Np maybe some (including me) Went a tad overboard in the reply... We all have our dark moments Grin

What gunnerman said might be a good idea...

Let's say if you would of course...

When you do an edit..During the process, make screenshots of the process. That way people can admire your edit and also learn from it.

Face it...We all want the bananabob skills! (even me though I use gimp and have absolutely no idea on how to use it) Grin

Just a thought....I loved the burning engines edit Grin

Yes, I got photoshop, worked on a lot of Tutorials. Some as simple as making a planet with bevel and emboss. Then you need to take what your learn from each tutorial and put it together to make something. I have my planet but it dosent look to great there so I am going to add some stars, a sun, some glow on the planet. Then I can work On a new planet with some texture and charateristics of its own. So yes BAW0343 was right in some aspects to take these filters and effects and combine them to make something cool.

But also like I said sometimes someone dosen't want to do something exteme to their shots. They just want to touch em up a bit kinda like taking the red out of an eye. And I like that.
