I've used the Google toolbar for many years & find it invaluable for finding & browsing websites. After some recent PC problems I have a brand new system & downloaded the latest version to use in IE. I spotted a new option on the toolbar that does a spell check of what you type into a topic like this. I just tried it & it seems to work although it might take some getting used to. http://toolbar.google.com/?promo=mor-tb-en

I use the version of the toolbar without advanced options as the advanced version involves sending personal information to Google which I'm always a tad wary of. For various reasons I use IE when visiting this forum. There's also a version for Firefox but for some reason this is not recommended.

PS. Please note that this is purely a spellchecker. It will not correct grammar or find those errant apostrophes. Wink

Don't need that. I assume that my spelling and grammar is good enough to leave that toolbar where it is.

Indeed. I hate spellcheckers myself as they usually correct things I don't want corrected so I usually disable them.

I never had much trouble with spelling & my problem is typos so it could come in handy. These automatic gizmos would be unnecessary if I spent a little more time reading through what I've typed before clicking that darned Post button. Roll Eyes

Hagar. The world's worst typist. Wink

If you wrote less long posts, that'd be much easier. Wink Grin

Then he could increase his post count ten fold with lots of little posts instead of the rambling monologues we're used to. Grin
