So far just 1 in my life.. when I was very young.
Since Ramstein I think Airshows are forbidden in Germany !

Can anyone suggest a good airshow in a country near Germany ?

I didn't know that. It was a terrible accident but this happened a long time ago now.

As I mentioned before, the UK is probably the best place for air shows in the world. It's not that far from Germany or anywhere else in Europe these days. There don't seem to be that many in the rest of Europe & the Paris Air Show is held biennually now, alternating with Farnborough. It really depends on which type of display you're interested in. I know of some in Belgium & Holland & Bones will be able to tell you more about this. One event I've always wanted to go to is the annual display at La Ferte Alais just south of Paris in May. This is advertised as the Old Warden of France & the aircraft are usually warbirds & vintage types. Unfortunately the Me 109 that I would most like to see there was badly damaged during a landing accident earlier this year. Pass your mouse cursor over the Info icon on this page for more details. http://www.ajbs.com/Anglais/Meetpantecote-UK/MeetingUKHtml/Meeting%2001UK.htm You can go to the next page from the link at bottom right.

PS. This is the one at Leylstad in Holland. http://www.ruudleeuw.com/lelystad04.htm
