I know alot of us play guitar, well what kind do you have? I have a Epiphone Special SG, hopeing to get a new solid white Fender Tele within the next few weeks.

Ok my WEAK setup is..

guitar:
yamaha pac 112

amps:
fender frontman 25
2 little ten watt amps (brands not important)

Pedals
Boss ds1
dunlop crybaby(ordered)

next month i hope to get
Black or wine red epiphone LP custom ( only have about 250 of the 600+ bucks needed, when i go to guitar center its all i play.
lookin to upgrade amp too. 25watts is not enough power

my other guitar player has a 67 Fender Jag Master, its a nice guitar, alittle beat up and a few scratches (it is old) but plays really well. its kinnda messed up right now so he is not playing it, i think he said he needs a new pickup and jack on it, but it is a nice lookin guitar.

Two Jackson SLSMG Soloists, neck thru, 3+3 headstock. All original hardware (bridge, nut, tuners, pickups, etc.)replaced by myself with top-level stuff, and the neck and action set, also by myself, thus vastly improving the off-the-rack experience.

By the way Pigeon, Fender has a Jaguar HH (two humbuckers and a tunematic bridge )for $630 US. It's the exact same dimensions as the regular Jag, but only comes in black. You might want to check it out.

Sounds great! But does it have a tremolo? I want one with tremolo... Thanks for the headsup! $ 630,- is a lot cheaper than the one in the pic (± $1500,-, but it was made in 1965).

I have a Epiphone Les Paul Standard, just like the one below..

And my rig is a Fender Stage 1600..

I also have a Yamaha SGS121, a Yamaha CG101 and a BC Rich Bronze Warlock, but I don't care about those because I love my Les Paul so much. Grin

If only I could afford a Gibson! 8)

i would love to have a Les Paul, as for BC Rich, some of the ugliest guitars i have ever seen Undecided

i can proudly say i will never play nor own one. (just my opinion though)

I am just the opposite, I would never be caught dead with a Les Paul, they are just too plain and normal looking for me, nice guitars I'm sure, if you wanna be like everyone else.
I currently own 7 BC Rich's, they are the ultimate metal guitar, I also have 3 Jacksons, 3 Ovations and a variety of others for a total of 20-something the last time I figured it up.

&&Still no linked images allowed around here Paz! Naughty...&&

I wouldn't call it an ugly guitar, but its a pain in the arse for me to tune. Other than that, I like it.

Sometimes, yes. But you can buy a right-handed guitar, reverse the strings and play it up-side-down. Jimi Hendrix did that.

cool, I love seeing some of the rigs and guitars people have...

I'm especially fond of that marshall amp setup..

I like the tonal quality I get out of my marshall amps.. Wink

I have the following:

Arianna Classical Guitar
Texarkana full-size dreadnought accoustic
Les paul special model II (Cherry sunburst)
Samick stages 3 (black german version of the stratocaster)
Fender Stratacoustic (black)
Alvarez 12 string dreadnought (my favorite)

I have two different amps, my marshall VS115 and another off brand amp which is designed primarily for accoustic and microphone amplification.. Wink

Hmmm... I never played one, but then again, I'm not planning to get one soon. I wouldn't buy a guitar without playing it first anyway. Wink

It's not a VERY good amp, but I think it's the best around without tubes. If I could afford a tube amp I would get the new 'mode four'. Man, that thing is brutal! 8)

Pidgeon is right, Hendrix played left handed and upside down with the 1E up top and the 6E on the bottom, way to hard for me, haha

It was a well-known fact back then that Hendrix did in fact reverse the strings, with 6E up and 1E down. There are enough clear pictures in the books 'Jimi Hendrix Sessions' and 'Inside the Experience' to prove this. Whereas left-handed Strats were available back then, considering the number of guitars he went through, it was more practical for Jimi to just flip one upside down. The only lefty guitarist that I know of who did not do a string reversal was Dick Dale, the self-proclaimed "King of the Surf Guitar", who, with the Deltones, emerged in 1962 in California playing a flipped Strat without reversing the strings, with some rather strange playing results.

I'm just curious as to what it is you like about a 7th string? I don't fancy them myself. Is there an advantage?

There's several things you can do. First, there's no need to buy a baritone guitar or tune down. Second, you can work out some pretty cool solo guitar techniques including bass/melody stuff. I can play 3 octave arpeggios with just 2 position shifts. I also worked out some really useful chord voicings that includes the B string. They have a wide range of tonality, that you could only achive with a piano. Plus, just having that extra string gives you more choices. So If I want to do an ascending run, I could start it from the B string, further up the fretboard, or on the E string down the fretboard. It's my choice depending on what I ultimately want to do.

Well...When I was a Guitar Player in www.SerpentRise.com
I use to play with two guitars...
The first is the Jackson Flying V - Dave Mustaine(Megadeth) Model...But with Floyd Rose Bridge and Black also.

And the other...better to me is the Brasilian Bloody Metalic Red and Handmade Tagima...sorry cant remember the model....but its a great guitar....also used by Kiko Loureiro from Angra.

I use to play with Marshall Amplifiers and using Digitech RP1 Effects
