If all I wanted were emotions I would read poetry or see a play.

I'm not a fan of tuneless screaming, but I do like screaming when it is in tune like Soundgarden or Audioslave.

It's doesn't sound like a bad band but just a bit bland like alot of modern metal, I long for the old grunge days when I was in my early teens. Bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden were flippin awesome.

Mind you I think I'm being a bit narrow minded bands like System of a Down are interesting these days and as far from bland as could be lol.

hahaha, you have alot to learn about todays music (or that i listin to) and there is nothing cool about Soundgarden or Audioslave absolutly nothing i say, hahaha (just my opinion so dont take it the wrong way, not trying to start any trouble) but as for the Pumpkins and SOAD love em, great bands.

I'm not trying to be cool, but there was something cool about them 10 years ago. I've given up on the image side of music it starts to mean I have to change what I care about. Soundgarden and Pearl Jam stood for something ( a bit like SOAD) and their concerts were truly anarchic lol. So I just go for what sounds good to me.

I've come across alot of people who are militant about what people should listen to and I guess I was one of them when I was 15 or so but then I found that it was really counterproductive to what the whole grunge thing was about. Bands like The Last Starfighter wouldn't exist without the aforementioned bands (it would still be make-up and big hair lol.) This has made me kind of thoughtful, I guess I might be showing a bit of maturity Shocked

Right I'm confusing myself  ???

Ok I got it what I'm trying to say is "modern" is a relative term here. When I was younger Soundgarden was "modern" and I was quite keen to slag off what I thought was rubbish like Guns n Roses or Bon Jovi but time moves on and now my first bands have become dinasour bands and "uncool". I mean bloomin' 'ell I'm only 18.

I guess I've learnt all I can about modern music, I want my music to equal good times and a good mosh, whether it be bon jovi, deep purple, soundgarden or SOAD.

Man that was heavy.

Ah sod it here is a pic of Starfighter Grin

...

P.S Sorry if this didn't make any sense. Tongue

i know what ya mean man, alot of the bands that i listin to would not be around if it were not for alot of other bands (not soundgarden for sure) but i have alot of respect for the music i listin to and where it came from. and sorry was not trying to say you were "cool" cause you listin to those bands, i know that everyone has there own taste in music, i dont judge people by the music that they listin to but just like to give them a hard time (all in good fun though) about what they listin to.

I myself play in a band and know were not for everyone, and know that if it were not for bandsd that influenced us we would not be together, its just differ times and differ music. like i said bro not trying to make fun of you or anything, im just alittle picky about my music and tend to poke fun at the bands i dont like like (in a good way), but i know they have worked hard at what they do and i can respect that but i dont have to like the music.

dunno if that makes any scence at all as i have just gotten back from the bar.

(hope nobody gets mad Wink)
