Hey guys.

Here's a model I'm doing as a quickish project to tone my NURBS skills. It's the Boeing 767(ish) Jet Airliner. This is my first project here, brand new member Smiley I have roughly 8 years worth of 3d Experiance. I have a small productions studio I run out of my home and love 3d. Always wanted to find a Aviation oriented site for 3d design. Being built in 3ds max r7, rendered with Brazil R/S. Anyway, now for the model:

Thank you much!

looks good so far Smiley

let's see you cut the cockpit windows and stuff Smiley

you need to rely more on the photos instead of the drawings to make it look accurate Smiley

Hey guys, the fins are fully detailed now, so are the engines Smiley The engines are sort of my own design but they heavily follow the real thing's design. I am going to make rough wings and the cocpit windows. So Expect an update this afternoon Smiley

Nice plane you got there. However, I can't imagine the poly count of the visual model. Shocked

I have capped the polycount (maximum I'll allow) at 2.5million
Thanks for the referencing!

That model looks great but with 2.5 Million polys your not
going to make realtime model ? Smiley
For a highres model just for rendering 2.5 million are ok
. Btw.. are you refering to 2.5 million shown
in the "Poly Count" utility or 2.5 million during rendering ?

Well it's realtime atm hehe, sitting at around 280k atm. I can easily render that in near realtime. (21.4fps) I'm speaking of the Utility where you can set max. Unforntunently it only goes up to 1,000,000 but that's alright.

Are you aware that the most polys per user model that FS can render is about 69,000 polys?

Who ever said this was for FS? Wink To be honest, this model is for a TV spot on one of British Airway's new Commercials to air in England next year.
