I am trying to change my AGP settings like i did with my 9800XT which came with my computer and I have been dumbfounded with the fact that I cannot do so-- it always defaults to "OFF".

I downloaded the ATI Tray tool from radeon2.com and I noticed that for some reason all of my AGP settings are off and unable to be turned on, yet all the PCI setting are on and working.  The card is a 9800 Pro 128 meg and it says right on the box "AGP 4x/8x compatible".

Did I install this thing in the wrong slot?  Is that possible?  how the hell did I do that?  I do see a blank slot in the back of my machine but I put this card exactly where my 5900 ultra was prior.

I'm completely lost and ripping my hair out.  Please help, I will be forever grateful.

You wouldn't be able to put an AGP card into either PCI or PCI-E slots so it's in the right slot. Likewise with PCI - PCI-E they are completely different.

I'm sure one of the gurus who frequent this forum will be able to figure out your problem. My thinking is that it could be a BIOS setting that needs tweaking but I'm no expert.
