It could proove to be a bad idea. If it were like that this year Dan wheldon would have won the title at the halfway point roughly.

We won't see for a few years whether or not it is a good idea. I don't see any immdiate rewards from it.

The reasoning for cutting California (LA market), and PPR (Denver Market) was because of ticket sales. They couldn't fill the seats, so they will try to win them over with TV then bring them back.....maybe.
I think the Denver open wheel scene is dominated by Champ Car right now.
