tonight i hooked up my amp and sub...and in the process i didnt know what i was doing so i connected the on/off toggle directly to the B+ and ground terminals..oh boy. it 0wned those poor wires. they were probably 20 something gauge wires with 300 watts of electricity going through them. ouch. slight fire too.. i can laugh now because nothing was damaged.

Ah, the learning experience, you won't do it that way again will you?

I had similar experiences wiring up a standard everyday houselight...of course I was only 10 at the time and didn't know better....somehow I wired it wrong and there was a pop fizz, and a weird feeling in my right arm......

then the circuit breaker popped... (thank God..)

lol, live and learn.. Wink
