Where you're absolutley god-like at playing an instrument?

Last evening I was playing drums and I could even pound out the 32nd notes in one of the songs. Also, I got all accents and little stuff you wouldnt notice.

Also, this evening I was sitting down with my dad's guitar just fooling around with it and I came across a familiar tune. 30 minutes later, I had "Middle" by Jimmy Eat World nailed. From the intro to the chord progression to the ending. Keep in mind I don't play guitar regularly..

It's just such a cool feeling. Smiley 8)

I know what you're saying, somedays you feel like you are one with your instrument and there are other days I play for five minutes and put it down because I know it is an "off" day.

Lol I know the feeling, usually when I come across snooty technical guitarists that think I won't be able to keep up in a jam because I know f' all about technical stuff (I don't even know most of the notes on the bass guitar lol.)

Suffice to say I can keep up in a jam. On a really good day me and the drummer seem to have some kind of telepathic link and we can lead each other through all sorts of beats and grooves.

Other days I'm just crap Grin

32nd notes... my favorite. part of my marching band training is to do double stroke rolls and 32nd notes.

fun stuff!

Bahahahaha that sucks!

I mean, I can play them but I can't be forced to. Like, only when I'm playing set and when I'm "in the groove". Smiley
