Ladies and Gentlemen.

Greetings to one and all. I have a question for you. Is the only way to increase airport traffic by 1. slide bar in the program or 2. purchasing traffic.

I wish to increase traffic at CYFB I am operating out of hanger 10 but the only a/c is  a 737 and a caravan. It is lonely at this airport Grin

I would appreciate any help I could get, new to the sim world.

Hey there and welcome to the forums.  You don't need to buy traffic necessarily, just go to www.projectai.com and have a look there, it is great for AI traffic.  Another thing is that it's free!!!  Also you may need to install a new AFCAD2 file for your airport, but that can be done using the Project AI installer, I hope I was of some help to you.

Hi soap on a rope ....err.... sorry, soaroperations (eyes not what they were  Wink )

Get hold of TTools and AFCAD2, both by Lee Swordy and both available here at SimV. Read through a few pages of posts on this forum and you'll soon get the idea. TTools lets you add flightplans for AI aircraft which you can either download from sites like Project AI (www.projectai.com) or create yourself. AFCAD lets you create parking spaces and taxiways or change the exisiting ones for any airport in FS2004 (you'll need AFCAD v1 for FS2002 if you have it, but I think not). You can also make ANY aircraft in your folder into AI if you wish - TTools tells you how.

My guess is as you're interested in one airport for now, you'll do best to make your own flight plans so get TTools and go through the Readme carefully. If you have ANY problems, there are loads of guys here who can't wait to help out (ie show off their amazing knowledge  Smiley ).

Welcome to one of the most rewarding and enjoyable bits of FS. I guarantee you'll enjoy yourself. You'll love seeing the first planes you program taxying, taking off and landing for sure. We all did and still do. Tell us how you get on and post a few pics as well.

Good advice so far . . . I've done (and continue to do) all-of-the-above plus:

1. slide bar in the program to 100%

2. purchasing Ultimate Traffic (UT).

Name: Iqaluit
IATA: YFB
ICAO: CYFB
Frobisher Bay, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, Canada
Latitude: 63°45' 23" N
Longitude: 68°33' 21" W
Elevation: 110
Runway Length: 8600 Feet

Ultimate Traffic ships with all the world's scheduled airlines (requisite aircraft models and repaints), a complete set of AFCAD2 files to park the planes plus PlaneSpotter -- UT is the best F$ 29 dollars you'll ever spend.

P.S. UT has scheduled flights and accompanying AFCAD2 file for Iqaluit CYFB

Disclaimer: I am in no affiliated with Flight-1 or Ultimate Traffic but I do know a good thing when I see it.
