I should be able to figure this out, but I don't mess with design that much, so I'm not used to dealing with it.
How do you join the inside and outside of this cowling to make one piece? In FSDS, it would be a simple matter of selecting the pieces and selecting the 'Join' option. I built the part, deleted the poly's for the openings, cloned it, and flipped the normals. Since I decided to switch midstream and pick up Gmax instead, I am lost...

My preference is to leave it as a separate object and link it to the exterior part.
If you prefer to join it, that's fine. Use the Attach feature. Select the outer cowl and attach the inner to it.
You will find the Attach Button on the right side in the rollout.

Out of curiosity though, why would you? It seems like it would be just one more part to have to keep track of.

Dont be as far as I know they havn't started yet.Also build for yourself not the community that way it duznt matter a hoot how many ver there are
the biggest joy I get from thois hobbie is pulling one of my models into the hanger and modding it,ya should see my V12 supercharged Moth
