I should be able to figure this out, but I don't mess with design that much, so I'm not used to dealing with it.

How do you join the inside and outside of this cowling to make one piece?  In FSDS, it would be a simple matter of selecting the pieces and selecting the 'Join' option.  I built the part, deleted the poly's for the openings, cloned it, and flipped the normals.  Since I decided to switch midstream and pick up Gmax instead, I am lost...  Roll Eyes

My preference is to leave it as a separate object and link it to the exterior part.

If you prefer to join it, that's fine.  Use the Attach feature.  Select the outer cowl and attach the inner to it.

You will find the Attach Button on the right side in the rollout.

Ditto with Milton's suggestion... In FSDS or gmax, I would rather leave the two parts separate.

Two expert opinions... Sold... Smiley

Out of curiosity though, why would you?  It seems like it would be just one more part to have to keep track of.
