While 1/3 of Portugal is burning we had another "century flood" in the alps. The last so called century flood is just
7 years ago.. so the name doesn´t really fit anymore.

We had about half a meter water standing in the cellar
and were busy the whole day to get our things save and dry.
Actually we were quite lucky (unlike other people) cause nothing really important of our household was harmed.  A friend of me who lives 100km south in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was trapped for two days in his village before the streets were drivable again.
This was the most scarry rain I experienced.

Here are some pics I took today
of the River "Isar" in Munich.

Most of what you see here usually is a huge meadow.
Normally the Isar at this place has a level of 1,5m-2m
Now it´s 4,7m

An open Flood Gate near the "German Museum".
...

Actually the next pictures don´t really show the power of this wave. It was one of the biggest and loudest things
I´ve ever seen in my life.

Thanks for your replies !
Yes "Baden" means "swimming". but the sign actually was
placed there before the flood  Smiley.
One thing I completely forgot to mention. !! Our firedepartment did a great job. They responded very quickly
and visited us so far 2 times to free our cellar from the water.
I´m glad we have them !!
