Not from lung cancer, but I often wonder if perhaps it was to make sure we didn't get into Elvis Grin

A particular Elvis fan in the midwest US got very upset with me for calling him "Pelvis Pretzel"... the guy is not only dead but I was only kidding and it wasn't like I was shouting it out in public with a megaphone Roll Eyes. Some people have no sense of humus Undecided.

To be honest, i am not a huge fan, but i respect the guy for everything he's done in music and for music. They had alot of programs on tonight about him and his life told by his family and friends. It was quite sad really, especially at the end, i have always thought Elvis knew he was going to die when he did, and when you hear the stories told by his family, it sort of confirms it.
As a side note, is it me or has Lisa Marie suddenly gotten hot? no dis-respect meant to the topic but wow.

I meant him no disrespect, either; I think he would have understood it as mere punning banter (just like I'd do with you). The truth is that I rewrote the lyrics to some of his song renditions. In fact, I've had a few call me "Elvis" (due to my hairstlye after exiting the USAF). However, I've also been likened to Roy Orbison, although I never knew what he looked like until I saw his face on his last "Mystery Girl" cover. If I put on sunglasses, I guess they may be right.

??? My only question about this post is why our moderator [Ozzy] entered it in this forum; it's still somewhat recent for world history and seems more pertinent to music ? Maybe an honorable mention here and a link to the other?
