I am planning on modeling the 1978 Chevy Corvette for FS9 using Gmax.

Right now, it is in its preparation stage of development [gathering photos, car specs, etc.].

As you are aware, my friend helped make the dynamics of the Ferrari. Now, as part of my learning curve, I want to make the dynamics of the Chevy on my own.

With the 3D modeling experience that I have gained from Project Ferrari, I expect to make the addon much quicker. Hopefully before FS10 comes out.

It's just started. I have already set up the 3-views and I'm starting from the hood.

...

...

...

The front might present a challange because none of my 3-view images have a front view. Just the top, right, and rear.

Would this maybe help?  BTW I (long ago) had an iron-on detailed T-shirt with this very car on it, that said "Wrap Your Ass In Fiberglass".  Wore it to school and was sent home to change into something more "appropriate".  Methinks things have changed somewhat since then.

Who in god's universe came up with that design? Looks nice, but it look as though it took in took much steroids.

Very nice photos none the less.

As for that t-shirt, you might be able to wear it during this crazy and nutty age. Grin

Hey Jessy,
I notice you re-loaded the Enzo 'full' package with my name removed. What a jerk you turned out to be. I complained of not getting enough credit for the '3rd wheel' concept and the 'differential braking' (so it would make curves without flipping) and you remove my name entirely. You took my FDE files for vehicles, and now you will use them on this chevy, making it look like you did all the 2 wks work it took. Well, I plan to let people know that IT WAS I WHO FIXED YOUR ENZO SO IT WOULD DO CURVES AT 40-50 KTS, AND GO 350 KTS AT EDWARDS AFB. You just took the credit. No good.

OMG!!!

Here we go again.

Undecided

I'm gonna say this once and only once. --+Please, Read The "Read-Me" File That Came With The Addon. Your name is there along with the contribution that you made. I have also mentioned your name on other forums when refering to the dynamics+--

That's it, end of story.

PS: Have you even read the Read-Me file?

Undecided

Pardon me for talking like that, but this is just going nuts in my opinion.

Not good enough. You need to own up to the fact that without MY CONCEPT / CHANGES to the cfg and air files your Enzo would be junk, GARBAGE! Oh, you may have run into a 'sucker' eventually. I guess I was your 'sucker' eh? Well, look again. I am your daddy.

You need to not say that I 'helped with the config' (what did YOU do? Ck for punctuation?) and that  MY WORK ACTUALLY I MADE IT POSSIBLE for the Enzo to be driveable AT ALL.

You don't want to share any of the glory, do you? You did nothing to make the Enzo driveable. Just made the model (equivalent to a PICTURE)-I made the FDE's. But you did NOT SAY THAT. You left it open so people would ASSUME (the operative syllable being 'ass-') that YOU did the 2 wks of trial and error that it took ME!!!!!

So don't go pointing to 1/2 line, with just 'thanks'. Give me the credit I deserve.  But, you may not be man enough to do that. After all, you are in the Air Farce, and you don't have to be 'gung-ho'-just cute. Cheesh!
Chuck
Those Air Force computers must be great for GMAX work on your models. (But only on your breaks and lunch, of course (wink-wink!).   Undecided

*Katahu gives a cold hard stare at Charles*

*Takes a deep breath*

Step 1. Go look at the Cafe Simviation forum.

Step 2. Read the thread titled "***To Make Things Clear***

Step 3. Read it and read it good.

Step 4. Stop this dumb arguement now before I call Pete.

And FYI, I don't use those USAF computers. They are for official use only and I am only using a laptop that barely runs FS9.

Again, if you continue this dumb arguement, you might be banned by the moderators for harrasment.

Charles, now you're looking less than professional.  Katahu owned up to making a mistake on one frigging description.  The included documentation contains the correct information, and, as he's explained in the "To Make Things Clear" posting, you are given credit for the dynamics.

An error has been made, and amends offered.

Act grown up, accept the aoplogies and let's enjoy the hard work that BOTH you and Katahu have provided the community.  Remember, without YOUR dynamics, Katahu's model is a hard to handle work of art.  Without Katahu's model - er... HOW would we know of your hard work??

Also, because of your childish whining (there are more mature ways of driving Katahu into contrite apoplexy), I wonder if any modeller would now risk approaching you to improve on their own dynamics?

Felix,
You are right. I might not have someone approach me to improve their FDE's. And if I approach them, then I have only myself to blame if they slight my efforts?

Yes, the Ferrari is a work of art. Definitely. That is why I jumped in, as I really thought the Sim community SHOULD enjoy it. I don't mind helping out. Only I wish Jessy would have emphasized more my contribution. Saying that I meerly 'helped' was in no way the truth.  He is a grown up, and not a 10 yr old kid, after all.

Ok, the post was not mature behavior, and I appologize to all. I am a professional 'mechanic' and proud of it. I will drop the subject, you have my word.

The Enzo was going to come out. Eventially. Like late 2005, maybe? And it would probably still flip, crash, and creep down the road. Now it can do curves at 40-50 kts, do 250 kts, and accelerate like the real Ferrari. Where you going to 'buy' that kind of service. And for free. Least he could do is give me adequate credit. That's all I am asking for.

Thank you for the forum, and thanks all the modelers, in all the sim versions, who make this a fantastic hobby. I am familiar with all of them. Gladden, Lyons, Conrad, Shupe, Stone, Zhyhulskiy, Ito, Hamaguchi ('Hama'). But even their models don't always 'fly', and for me it's a challenge, and a joy to 'fix' them. That's what I like to do. What if I had uploaded my files, as a 'fix' (which I am free to do, if I want) without asking him?  See my point?
