Of all the filthy, dirty, cannaiving tricks this Networking played on me for two weeks trying to setup the various TCP / IP combinations before I succeded to join them & Int.Con.Share.

By chance just checked the TCP / IP's of the Dial up Adaptor, and the Ethernet Adaptor (by double clicking on "Network" of win98) and they have set themselves to the "Obtain an IP address Automatically".

All those 192.168.0.1 & 2's I entered a hundred times have disappeared, and the blasted thing works a treat.

As soon as I start both PCs they network and the tiscali broadband is connected as soon as I click on the
win98 I.E icon.                     luke

Glad it worked out for you.

Networking is pretty much plug and play these days with some software configuration necessary.
