Hi all,
I use PAI for my AI needs. I used the package to uninstall the default commercial traffic. However, when I fire up FS9, the traffic reappears. In addtion, I think I have double flightplans of an airline. Is it possible to get rid of on the flight plans or no?
Thanks.

IMO, the mistake most of us make installing PAI is to put tme all in one traffic_PAI folder (all the eggs in one basket). there is an option ot install added PAI flihgts to new traffic_new_PAI.bgl

Search this forum for 'traffic' for more tips

P.S. as you know, to remove (almost) anything from FS9, one simply removes the *.bgl file(s)

My PAI traffic files are rather large. Once it hits around 200 aircraft I name it PAI2, PAI3, etc to keep it from making one huge traffic file.

I have ALL of PAI's AI loaded in my FS and its divided into about 5 or 6 traffic files.

Why yes, I am a noobie/newbie/knewbie

Good tip!

And, shouldn't you better rename the *.bgl to *.bgl-old or something. The file won't work no more cause of the unknown suffix, but it avoids loosing a file you might need one day or the other..  Wink

Negative The purpose is not to make the traffic_x.bgl inactive; the purpose is to manage *.bgl files so when a problem arises the offending .bgl (usually the last created) can be removed for test purposes. One can have as many (active) traffic_x.bgl (or any other *.bgl) as wanted.

I create many new TTools' traffic_x.bgl files by location and/or aircraft type(s). It makes these files easier to manage.

P.S. It's been my FS9 experience that most AI problems are caused by corrupted AF2 files and not the traffic_x.bgl files.
