Nice edit of two nice planes.
I don't realy like the 787 engine. It looks like a beer keg!
hmmm.... wait! I think I DO like it!  Grin

By the way, since Boeing and Airbus hate eachother so much I don't think that you'll ever see this in real life. I think it would be more realistic if you put them on a head-to-head collision course, because they want to know wich airplane is stronger  Tongue

lol beer keg, I'd not really noticed a likeness there. I chose the formation to avoid another Boeing vs Airbus fight Tongue

Is it just me or does the A350 look eerily similar to the A330 mixed with an A340. Roll Eyes

Cool edit, anyway.

The A330 and A340 are very similar to begin with, except the 340 has 4 engines, the 330, has 2.

The 'A350' in my picture, is Mike Stones A330 dressed up as an A350  Wink because the A350 is to be based on the A330, and no-ones modeled one yet. (Though I assume it'll look just like an A330!!!)

apart from the seating, thats about the only differance.
Nice shots.
But the previews of the A350 are all just repainted A330
and the 787 designs are still not final or not the fs ones.

I imagine the A350 will look very similar to the A330. Length may vary, and maybe new engines. But if what I have read is correct   Roll Eyes then it'll look very much like an A330.

The 787 is an unusual design in my opinion, in detail, rather then overall layout. Some of the cockpit window shapes that have been illustrated or modeled are certainly 'different' and that tailfin looks odd! I almost expect it to be in the middle, like a shark's!! But that owuld of course make it useless, aerodynamically!

The tail was changed a while back, it started out as a shark fin but was later given the standard tail. It wasnt useless aerodynamically it just wasn't as economical as the normal look. The front end remains largely the same and they are keeping the large passenger windows, which i personally cant wait to see. They are going to be the most interesting feature on the thing i think, what with the cool electronic screens that allow you to look out while still dimming the cabin to set levels.

i mean the fin would be useless in the middle, where you expect a sharks fin to be, i think my train of thought went onto a branch line at that point!  ???

These screens sound interesting, will they be front facing, or on the sides?

Sorry i see what you meant now. Late night last night Embarrassed
The windows will have it built in. I am not 100% sure but i believe at last info release they would be operated by the cabin crew. Hopefully that wont be the case as they sound like alot of fun to mess with.

lol. people and technology eh  Wink I imagine I'd be the same! they should have camera on the outside of airliners that the passengers can select and watch. Like on the first A380, they had one on the fin, that the pilots coudl view, only for passengers!

Airlines do have those cameras. Some behind the nose wheel others on the tail. Its part of their entertainment systems. Just like united have Channel 9 which lets you listen to the ATC.

lol ok, last time I flew on an airliner was a few years ago, and it was Air France, so if the option was there on the little seat back screen of the 777, then i couldnt read it!

Not all. Some Grin
Anet has pictures of some of the airlines who have it.
I think Virgin has it on their newer planes.
Singapore might do. Alot of the A340-600 customers have it as an option as its there for the pilots anyway.

Add an A380 to the mix and that would have been a downright nice edit...
