Hi all!

Remeber me making a post a while back saying if my system was enough to run cfs3 well?Ok,so this is what I'm thinking....

512MB of RAM(was 256MB before)

ATI Radeon 8500 240MHz,64MB of memory(was ATI All-In-Wonder)

Pentium 4 1.70 MHz Processor(still the same as before)

Think this will improve my performance? Please, comments and,or ideas greatly appriciated.

Definitely sounds like an improvement, and you will notice a difference for sure.  Those specs are still on the lower end of the "recommended" scale IMO, but it's likely you'll find it acceptable.  Stand-alone video card is a good move, and the more RAM the better.

My guess is that with those specs you'll probably get FPS of low 20's when the action is quiet and mid-teens when there's a bit more happening.

I run a 2.6GHZ P4 with 1024MB of RAM and a 64MB nVidia GeForce4 MX-440 video card, and with all sliders at "4" (except clouds on "1") get comfortable & pretty smooth mid-20's most of the time & high teens in the busy action ... which is acceptable to me.

Hope that helps.  Wink

Cheers - GhostFlyer.

The 64MB card is definitely too weak, ya'll just be able to run CFS3 smoothly at low settings with no AA.
I'd go at least for an 128 MB card.
Beside, most ATI cards seem to have issues with specular level maps when using drivers higher than Catalyst 3.9,
you won't see the nice shiny effect on aircraft.
