Maybe some of you will remember a very early screenshot of my P-47 progress. If you dont well, whatever... Here some updates for you!

...

...

...

...

...

...

The exterior modeling is practicly complete. I just need to model the cockpit (for exterior model) , the tail light , and the aerial. She  clocks in at 13 k poly's so far. So shes framerate freindly.

Any comments, suggestions, critisism, etc is welcome!

That's just spectacular caldabolg, It sure has changed sense the last time I saw your progress. This aircraft will sure beat alphasim's P-47. If you can, try to make both the P-47D and P-47C models. That will deffanatlly put alphasim to shame. Grin Grin Grin

Sounds interesting, but unless you resize the pictures to 800x600 and 100Kb max (as stated in forum rules) they will be removed by one of the mods. I'm on dial up at the moment as my Broadbands down and it was going to take ages to see them...

Im so sorry. I'll get on that now...

Edit:
DFD-Xml or Gau ,  well which is easier on framerates?

Charlie-It's late and I really dont have time to upload these pics again in smaller format. Is it okay if we let it go by this time? Please.

Citation x-  I may be wrong but, it the P-47-C just A p-47-D with a dorsal fin? I'd be glad to the C and D if It isn't to much modification.

I was wrong the version with the dorsal fin is the p-47g,
not the p-47d. I see that your model is the P-47d and no a c model. Here is a pic of a P-47G ... Grin

Good luck

Unfortunately its not up to me. You may end up with
Pictures removed for being outside forum limits or something similar if your post is seen by one of the mods. Its happened to most of us in the past! Wink Smiley

Ah yes. The razorback. Very nice modelling as well (the render looks especially nice). Can I ask what the poly count is? Grin Roll Eyes

Thanks for the pic citation x. Smiley I think I'm gonna stick to the D though. It would be a lot of work to take my plane from bubble canopy, to razorback. Although, Im sure most of you would appreciate th bubble and razorback.

The poly count is 13,500 for the complete exterior. Im in the midst of doing my vc modeling now. I'll have a pic of my vc within the next week.(800 by 600 under 100 kb... lol)

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Well great work caldabolg, Maybe you can do the G model in the future. Just modify the p-47d, though keep the source file Smiley. Modify when you feel like it. Grin
