Is it the boeing 727 the same MD-13?how come doesn't show in airliners.net?as md-13

I did have to check in google aperanly are different planes.I ask this because i saw it in discovery ch.about a crash due to and its tail top factory defect that cause
an accident...even was hard in google seach for md-13 youll see.Its hard to find it,i was trying to add into my photo colection and i haven't found photos of it 


i know this is funny i question then i did had to find the answer my self  Grin

Wasn't that about the Alaska airlines MD-83? I remember a documentary about that crash, caused by a malfuction in the tailsection...

  yes that one,for a moment i saw it was a 727-...but i found a hugde different two engines are in the wings and one in the tail like dc-10,the 727 has the 3 engines in the back; i remember i was by a wrong maintenaice and ungreased screw wich the second elevators  stabilizer broke up

I think you're confusing the MD-11 (which was a development of the DC-10).

There was no MD-13 (and I think that number would have been jumped).

The last McDonnell Douglas design to reach project stage was the MD-12.  If you want to see what it would have looked like, just look at the Airbus A-380.

About that time, MD was having financial troubles and sold out to Boeing - instead of the other suitor - Airbus.

You know what i think maybe the traduction into spanish was wrong,but like Omag said Alaska airlines MD-83 i clealy heard it, and i even wrote in my cell phone (always do that to remain me an seach about it)
or even maybe the narrator in english of the show made a mistake,but i think i got in my own library a model by the name md-13 is like b727 with the lareral tails on the top of the central & rudder tail
