Just downloaded Alphasim's English Electric Lightning pack for FS9.

You get the F2.A, F3 and F6 variants of the aircraft with multiple texture schemes per type. There is also a VC, authentic sounds and an AI version included.

The external visual model is top-notch, but for 10 quid I would have expected a far better quality VC.  Angry
Having said that, i've heard ALPHA do sometimes try to get 'money for old rope'.  Tongue

I've posted some screen shots of each variant on their own posts for you to examine! Wink  Cheesy
[Not sure if this pack has featured on here before??]

Have fun!  8)

The Lightning is a typical example for the statement "functionality over beauty".

I think that should read "functionality and beauty" - its one of the most charismatic fighter jets ever built...

Yes but a well loved aircraft, due to be back in the air sometime in 2006.

Would that be one of the Lightning's at Bruntingthorpe then?

Sounds exciting - I thought the CAA limited them to fast-taxi only??
