Hello all! Through the past four weeks we have travled into California, Oregon, and Washington State. Join us once again for a 139 mile trip into Idaho this weekend!

See where we have been?  Cheesy
...

When: Saturday July 2nd from 9:00pm to 11:00pm EST

Where:
69.221.149.48

As always we use Skype (www.skype.com) for all audio transmissions. If you plan on talking to us, we ask that you download the SKYPE program and install it prior to the flight, as well as either posting your Skype name here, OR PM'ing ME! Smiley

Now down to the details! Smiley

Departing: KALW (For more information see the link)
http://www.airnav.com/airport/KALW

According to the Airnav site the cheapest fuel can be found at the Port of Walla Walla FBO at $3.34 USD as of today.

Arriving: 1U1 (For more information see the link)
http://www.airnav.com/airport/1U1

please be advised that there may be local animals on the runway, first person there shall proceed to make a fast low pass to scare them back out of the way! Wink

Also the runways are grass and may not be mowed to the full width stated on the airnav site, therefore it is a little more critical to come in on the runway centerline!

For this flight I would recommend the Cessna 182, Cessna 182RG, Cessna 206, or similar aircraft. If you DO plan on using something besides the stock aircraft, please try and post a link where the rest of us can download it as well so we see you in the correct aircraft.! Wink

Who is welcome to join? ANYONE who wants to join us can come fly with us, only restriction that I would like to emphasize is that those who do not wish to communicate via SKYPE hang towards the back of the pack, and follow proper non-radio procedures such as communicating intentions via the chatbox built into the simulator.. Wink

As always, I hope to see more of you there tomorrow night! Wink

Jared

Thanks for the update! Will remember to give you a call tomorrow night! Smiley

I'm hoping that not too many of us have holiday plans that would interfere with the flight tomorrow! Smiley

Hey... Moose Creek ... where we are landing.... has no avgas and is listed a "unattended".  How we gonna' gas up for next week's leg?    Wink

BTW.. I like that "go around not recommended" comment on Rwy 04  Grin.  From the picture on AirNav it looks like this could be an intreresting approach.

best,

...............john

LOL! That's next week's problem?  Grin

Actually I'm thinking we can either stop at a local airport such as S80 Idaho county airport not long before we get there and gas up.. Wink

I'd love to just say we could change to another airport that does have gas, but I think an approach into Moose Head would be quite interesting and challenging for al of us! Wink

For those of you who may not have the 182RG, I'll be using the following one for my aircraft for the night.. Wink

OK jared.... 8:45 PM and I'm setting up to fly.

Once I am connected to the server and you can see me at the airport you can try me on Skype.

Wonder if it just going to be the two of us tonight?

best,

Hello all, another fine night of flying was had once again as we leave washington state behind us! Smiley

Tonight we flew East/Northeast for 139 nautical miles and landed at 1U1 Moose Creek airport. Very interesting approach at moose creek to say the least! we sure picked a windy enough day too for out little bug smashers! Smiley

I have taken the liberty of having a friend who has MS train simulator load up a couple of cars of avgas, and pull them on out to the airport, so hopefully he will be there by next week to fill up our planes for us! Wink

The following is a map of where we have been recently! Smiley

Ohkay, at the beginning of this whole tour thing, I thought it would be such a great idea, that I would join.  However, I didn't install Skype, and ended up forgetting about it.  However, I've gotten back into it, and I hopefully won't slow things down with my DSL.  I have now installed Skype, because boy I don't wanna hang in the back of the pack.

However, one slight problem.  I haven't a clue how to USE skype with Flight Simulator.  My Skype name is Highflyer24, to make things easier.

Also, If i get to the point of flying in this event, I will be flying the Lancair Legacy.  Available here: http://www.simviation.com/fs2004props5.htm, 2nd from the bottom

Thanks in advance!
