Can anyone tell me why I have to turn off the AI. I have installed the New Spanish Airports and while I was installing it asks me if I want the static aircraft. Then it says that if I install the statics I will have to turn the AI off.
So I decide not ot install the static aircraft and when I loaded say, Madrid, all I could see was a couple of planes and an empty airport. Whats all that about?? Very confused. Can I install the static and still have the AI??
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Romaruk,
The reason they tell you to have either AI
or
Static (Not both) is because of overcrowding.
To have AI
AND
static, would not only cause a drop in FPS (even if it is only small), but you'd have planes landing with nowhere to taxi to and they'd disapper.
Really that advice is aimed at users of extra AI (ProjectAI, Ultimate Traffic tec...), if you're using default AI then adding the statics shouldn't be a problem at all
Cheers,
Carl

No probs...I found out the hard way...I installed the statics WITH my PAI running
Although removing the statics was quite easy

Hey Gnatman, I also have New Spanish Airports and I am also a user of Justflight's Traffic 2004. I turned off the Static aircraft, although I would have liked to have them around. Is there another way to have them, with Traffic 2004 on? I guess by turning down traffic density?

Hey Alpha,
Sorry for the late reply, only just spotted this.
As for your question, yeah I think just turn down traffic density a bit, or until you find a level you're happy with.
Although the statics aren't the best looking planes, I guess it's always nice to fly to an airport and have at least a couple of planes sitting there.
Cheers,
Carl
