the video that got me started in druming (Read 192 times)

Well if you all saw the video a few posts down, you might know that I am not a regular 14 year old Grin

Well It didnt all come out of nowhere. I started playing when I was 9 years old and what you see in the video is what I am now. But I just wantr you to see the video that got me started. I saw this on tv sometime and I was blown away. I finaly found it loocking around in a forum and I have to say I started crying.

Dayyamm... his technique is incredible, and about halfway through, he started communicating. Very impressive. How old was he when that was shot?
Interesting that he's wearing "shock cups"... back when I used to gig out a lot, I tried earplugs, but I couldn't "get into it" with them, so I gave it up. Messed up my left ear a little, but oddly enough, it was not from the drums, but from the monitor wedge. I always asked for a lot of guitar, kick and snare- mostly guitar. I think it was because the guitar player never had a very loud amp. To this day, sometimes a live guitar will cause a little distortion in that ear...
best thing to use is an in-ear or headphone setup (don't need as much volume usually), but that wasn't available at the time... Grin

It says it in the video, He was 12 years old.
