hey guys i was wondering why my grphics didnt change when i went from a nvidia 440 64mb to a ATI9200 128mb?

Um... Drivers is the most obvious thing, and if your mobo has integrated GFX as well make sure its off in the BIOS. Does windows recognise that it has the card? And how are your 3DMark scores?

Some more specs would be useful!

well with the ati 9200 you wouldnt expect mutch increase on the quality point of view but maybe your FPS went up.
also, it al depends on the version of flight simulator your using. If its fs 2004, Im am not amazed the quality didnt go up as mutch but you could have better quality maybe playing fs 2002.

Unfortunately, that wasn't really much of an upgrade. The 9200 is a budget card with poor specs for gaming.  The amount a video RAM has very little to do with performance. I wouldn't expect more than a few FPS improvement with that card, if any, depending  on the game and quality settings.

Take a look at some benchmarks and you'll see what I mean. You'd have been far better off with a 9600Pro or a TI4200 for that matter.
