alright people, the newbies are gettin flustered.

lets give them a better simV greeting than this.

Welcome Weldo!!!

if you want some reccomended site for downloads:

www.simviation.com (of course!)
www.avsim.com
www.flightsim.com

then speciality sites that do well on making good representations of aircraft:

www.projectopensky.com
www.suclaro.com
www.wspilots.com
www.sgair.net (under construction)

and somewhere within avsim is Project Fokker, which is extremely good!

again welcome to the community, people arent normally like this to newbies!

www.suclaro.com? Now, maybe it's my mistake but I never succeeded in downloading something from them. I was either transferred to another site with payware or sites like E-Bay. But then again it might be my mistake.

Weldo, Sorry, jumped right in there.
Before you start downloading files etc, make sure you've read the tutorials on what you're doing..simple advice, i know, but if as you say you're new to flight simming it can be a bit daunting!
A good place to start is right here on SimV, check out the tutorials in the home page. Smiley
I've learned a lot from this site, hope you will too.
Happy simming!
Rob.

Sir Crashalot, i've never had a problem downloading from there in recent months, but when I used to have dial-up, they had put in the premium servers, so we got less bandwidth, and it used to be rare when I could download a plane, but now that I have DSL i've never had a problem, could it be that you have dial-up?

Surclaro has usually come up with the files I want but so S_L_O_W............that's fine for me as I don't pay by the minute and can nip out for a cuppa or just leave it to do it's thing and catch up with my emails or whatever.............commoner Wink

Now I see why it did never work. It's www.surclaro.com instead of www.suclaro.com. Told you, my mistake.
