Hi
If the airfile has a section 400 (ground effect) you could possibly adjust the settings.to adjust the scale you need a program called Aircraft airfile manager
http://www.aircraftmanager.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=11
its freeware and is good for mucking around with the bits aired wont let you
cheers

I was thinking about how I can make the car get a better grip on the road. My first thought was to increase the empty weight. But that cause the car to respond less and the stopping time increased a lot. I then thought about controling the MOI [moment of inertia] of the vehicle's yaw movement. BUt I feared it may make some strange things in the sim.

I then had a brainstorm. In real life, the car utilizes a special design on the chassie. In Formula 1 racing, this design is commonly known as the UNDERWORLD. This design directs the air underneath the car to increase in speed as the car accelerates. Do you remember the Bournolie Principle? As fluidic substance INcreases in speed, the preasure DEcreases. The underworld design creates this effect under the car so that the car will stick to the ground like glue.

I'm thinking about adding an imaginary wing [probably about a few square feet in size to be safe] with a negative incidence angle and located in the lower portion of the car.

Can it work? If it does, does it give the user more turning control?

Just to let you know, I love driving the Beta Ferrari.  It would be awsome to replicate some venturi tunnels under the car.

I managed to modify it to go real fast.  fast enough that it was way to hard to control, so anything would be nice to make it drive better.

Oh yeah, I got a top speed of 260mph before I landed in a tree. 8)

Katahu,

I know nothing about editing airfiles, but if you add a inverted airfoil, it should be able to create some amount of downforce and help the cornering.

My suggestion is have 3 airfoils, one at the front , one at the back , one at the bottom (middle)

Then slowly tweak the incidence angles to get the best handling(downforce) vs top speed

I tried the airfoil effect on the car and it seems to have two drawback: The effect doesn't work "IF" the car is skidding to the side and you have to travel real fast for the effect to work. I'm trying to resolve this as much as I can. My friend is using his ideas to improve performance [somehow, his ideas work better].

And just to let all know, I decided to resume posting some screenshots because I was getting tired of NOT posting the shots. Trying to quit posting is just like trying to quit smoking. It's hard to quit. Roll Eyes Even though I don't smoke. Tongue

This beast looks wicked!  What a neat idea, good luck on the control dynamics - eventually you will find a happy medium.

Got my car keys and jumped into my Enzo. Off to the airport.

...

Just cruising around and decided to just drive by the game field. I haven't looked over the wall to see what kind it was.
...

Well, on my way to the airport.
...

This guy has got to learn when to start moving. "HEY, postal boy. Get moving!!!"
...

Finally. I hope Ozzy ain't the captain of my flight.

Katahu,

no offence but i think you need better textures Smiley

the model is great.. but the textures really ruin the whole car.

I may be a good modeler, but I'm not Leonardo De Vinci. Wink Well, I wish I was. Roll Eyes

That's why I am including the source files of the textures [in PSP9 format] so that others can start on repaints.

Just to let you know, my original account is back in order and I finally got back my resident status.

Anyways, I was thinking about making my own work of art on the textures. But since I don't have the talent, I might as well be painting stick figures and ink blobs. Roll Eyes
