Well I went to CompUsa and bought some thermal paste for about $3.99 and applied just a tiny bit and the load temperature went from 56-58 down to 51, I can't  tell what ilde because I started playing Silent Hunter 3 right after the pc booted up.

Is it true that the paste has to brake in before temps start to go down? If so how long and how?

Well I just now came back from the store with a 1500 grit sand paper and polished the heck out of that heatsink bottom then reapplied some silver looking thermal compound  because that silicon started to gwet hard and powdery. Now the temps are Case 43C, chipset 32C idle. I'll let sit there for awhile until the compound breaks in and then I'll do a stress test and see how hot it gets. One thing that does help is that polish job.

...put the lid back on computer, leave it alone, and load up a nice game and play it... Grin...!
Forget all about the temperature, or you will get too hot under the collar...

Well I kept hearing some people say that their CPU runs at 32C.... and all that and I have always wondered if I could do the same but I'm just going to leave it alone like you said, I'm off to buy a nice joystick to be able to fly in FS2004.

Thanks for the help.
