I have just downloaded the newest driver for my ASUS Nvidia Extreme N6600GT.
And I understand I have to uninstall the old drivers before I install this new one.
Now to the question:
When I go to the add/remove programs tab in the control panel, I have these to drivers in the list.
# ASUS Enhanced Display Driver
# NVIDIA Drivers
Is it only the NVIDIA Driver I need to uninstall?

Ok, thought so, but you can't be sure in this computer world...
I wonder what that ASUS Enhanced Display Driver is...

Its an optimised driver, produced by Asus for that particular model of GFX card.
I used to get a considerable boost when comparing Asus Optimised drivers and the standard versions, of the same issue number.
Ultimately, your far better off using newer drivers from places such as
www.Guru3d.com
For example, Battlefield 2 won't run correctly with any drivers from Nvidias site, yet you have to use 77.30 drivers for the games demo to run correctly.
If you check at Nvidias website, at the time of writing, there most upto date drivers are version 71.89 !
77.30 drivers are here.
