Kill em shoot em game?

I am looking to vent some anger and was wondering, what software game offers the best graphics & realism that deals with combat? You know running through the towns, jungles, etc while looking to shoot the enemy  Roll Eyes

Dave, I've grown fond of Half Life: Counterstrike (an anti-terrorism shooter)....Half Life 2 is newer, and apparently has much better graphics, but I believe it's still part of the Half Life family in that it's more X-Files than realism.

My vote goes to Counterstrike.

Thanks Scott. So is it a fictional world where you fight creatures?

Even though I've got Half Life, I think I've played it for a total of 3 minutes.  lol   That one is funky creatures.  Not my style.

Then Counterstrike is a mod to Half Life that got published.  It's human vs. human (online) terrorist vs. anti-terrorist.  Very cool game.

There are a bunch of other mods to it too, some of which I've got.  There's actually a bundle out there with like 5 or 6 games in it...not sure what that's running these days, probably not much since HL2 is now out.

I have to be sad and admit some of the Star Wars games are rather fun, nothing better than chopping someone to bits with a lightsaber after a bad day 8)

I would have to say Iron Storm sort of Sci-Fi/WWII
And you can get it for less than $10 at WalMart.
Awesome graphics and game play rather awesome for a cut out bin game!

Hidden And Dangerous 2. It's got everything you asked for. Except that sometimes merely running will get you killed rather quickly. Grin

Boiling Point - Road To Hell is also quite nice. A mix between role-playing and FPS in which you can do whatever you like.

I joined the local Guerilla to fight for the communist revolution. Grin

Thanks Paul, that was funny!

I don't know. I guess I am just looking to immerse myself in some fictional world were I can blow things up and shoot a few bad guys. Being polite all the time has it's dis-advantages!  Wink

HAS to be Red Faction 2 on Playstation 2. The ruler of all FPS games.  8)

Otherwise, the king of  third-person shoot 'em up games is Metal Gear Solid 3. NO DOUBT!  8)
