I decided to take a flight with a little-used plane in my hangar...the Piper Cherokee Archer II. I was going to head over to Pioneer and maybe say hello to Ben (whatever he calls himself here these days).
Taxiied behind a 172...
Shortly as the 172 was taking off, I was told to taxi into position and hold, then given clearance...
Many of you know of my penchant for flying at night..well, I was beginning to tire and so I landed at the nearest airport I could find (KSUE)...
After a good night sleep, I switched to the Cessna 182 RG2 Skylane...(because I could)...
I
never
get tired of the Cessna's folding gear!
Continued heading about 227*
Shortly before I arrived (about 8nm out) the weather turned to soup! Just a few minutes ago, it had been reported
clear
. After a go-around, I was able to land, though it was quite a chore!
Though after landing, I could see that Ben lives near a bueat of an airport!
My first flight in a 172 on August 20, 2004&&

Great shots, great play by play
I haven't purchased any GA aircraft yet, but I like the looks of this one (the Cherokee Archer II).
I have a few freeware Highwings and they're not too bad, I can't really see buying any of them (although I'm considering buying a payware Bellanca).

The one by FSD isn't out yet, and I don't really care much for the freeware ones I've found.
I took a shot of a real one in the Photos forum (a local Fly-In)...
I was told they're safer than other twins as they're a lot more controllable than the ones with engines side-by-side...

If I may, Carenedos planes are probably some of the most realistic out there.
I dont' have the Archer(YET!),And will have the 182.
But I have everything else he sells.
There are no bells and whistles! Just what an average private pilot would have in real life! Which makes them all that much more enjoyable........
And there is no forum for countless fixes!
They are well worth it. So come on. Take the plunge.
And if you know of a good Bellenca "Viking", Please let me know.
