I'm usually pretty good at trouble-shooting, but I have encountered something to which I don't know the answer!

Whenever ATIS comes over the active Comm Frequency, it causes fs2002 to crash and all unsaved data is lost.

I have seen this happen regardless of whether or not I use ATC text on the screen, so maybe the problem is rooted in the sound files(?)

I welcome any suggestions!!  Thanks.

That sounds like a good place to start.

All of the ATC sounds are in FS2002/Sounds/UsEnglishBig.gvp (for the 10 voice package - maybe UsEnglishSmall.gvp or something like that if you went with the 3 voice package).  You can extract it from one of the CDs.
