Hello everyone-I've been following the posts at SimOuthouse regarding Maskrider's scenery add-ons. I have enjoyed all his work in the past, but some of it his work has become private property of SimOuthouse members, I hope he will make his work available to everyone.
I was banned from SimOuthouse because I purchased one of their "donationware" aircraft and did not recieve it(I also made an additional contribution to keep SimOuthouse online). When I contacted "Ickie", the owner of SimOuthouse, about my problems, I was banned from his site.
I hope that SimOuthouse members will share their work with all CFS2 enthusiasts. If they want to provide their work for only a hundred people, that's how many people in the world will wind up playing CFS2.
After all, it's only a computer game. I used to check in with the SimOuthouse every day, I don't any more and I haven't died.

Ron B I understand you and your frustration on not been able to Logon to their Website when you figure you have done anything wrong.

The good news is that this is also a very good Website as well. You are more than welcome to join us.

I beleive in freedom of speach and accecibility of information. Thats the main reason our previuos generation fought in world war two for.

Look at what happen to the Axis and the Communist as well.

They repress freedom of speach of others and lost the ingenous of many who could have help improve their societies.

The same thing could be said of our society before the LB sign the Civil Rights Bill in 1964.

There is a limit to the right of speach. But only when its harmful to others or indifferent to orther people suffering.

They at Sim-outhouse are bit restrictive on they who and what they allow in their forums.

Other wise they are very nice and have been very constructive to our hobby.

As for their decition to keep some of their upgrades to the game within their exclusive membership, I beleive is great mistake.

This is a small community and by keeping things within a smaller part of it will in the long run only contribute to its demise.

The more open we are and the more information we share with each others in a coapertive and freindly matter. The longer the hobby will live.

We have plenty of sceneries right here in this Website and other things to offer.

Please contribute with your questions and perhap answers as well.

What ever Talent you have please share it with us. I beleive every one has some thing to give no matter what your Talen level may be.

SOH will let anyone join who doesn't sign up with a web based e-mail. This is because they keep having DDOS attacks [Distributed Denial of Service]. Also SOH's downloads are available to all..also its up to the designer of the add on where they upload there add-on.

Also Ickie wouldn'ta banned you without a good reason. As for MR's stuff they are all in the download section, unless ur talking about the little cosmetice tweak he attached to a post.

Don't you think your painting this with a broad brush, I mean, they're not a Secret Society. If you want to join, it's just a matter of registering, just like you did here!

What exclusive membership are you talking about?

Like Stiz said, all of the upgrades are accessible via the Downloads Area, you don't even need to register to download them!

Stratobat

Agree all the download areas are totally open to anyone who hits the url; you only need to register to post in the forums

It has been alleged that I might be a shade outspoken on rare occasions  Shocked ,  but I have never been banned, censured or censored at the outhouse.

Oh, btw, that raises an interesting point why a number of developers don't upload their stuff to the major sites like simviation and flightsim anymore.
Shure, can only talk for my own little design group, whatever, reason why we are cautious with uploading to the big players is that you can be shure as pee that you'll find your stuff hosted at the ripoff pages within a week without proper authorisation.

Amen to that......our current work in CFS3 is only available from our own site.  http://www.avhistory.org

Our complete 100+ CFS2 plane inventory is only available from Netwings.   http://www.netwings.org/default.asp

In some cases it's within 24 hours Angry

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter where you upload it, eventually it'll end up somewhere where you don't want it to be Lips Sealed

Hi Everyone!

All of my GSL scenery is available here at Simviation. It is also available, along with all of the older non GSL stuff, over at NetWings and SimOuthouse. The very latest little Palau Pack at the moment can only be got at Simviation and SimOuthouse. I haven't had the chance to get it loaded at NetWings- thanks for reminding me by the way.

There are a couple of small tweaks that I made available as thread attachments over at SOH. The tweaks are purely cosmetic but they do improve the look of the new Palau Pack, IMHO.

So far my GSL scenery includes the Papua New Guinea Collection (4 separate mini-packs) and the Palau pack (1st part in the GSL conversion of the MaskRider Micronesia Collection).

Cheers & Thanks very much for the interest!
Chris

PS: Hehe, and yes, I do believe that a good deal of my stuff is nicely displayed and availablre over at a place whose name will remain unspoken but which begins with a letter S and ends with a letter K. Grin  Angry

Oh Yeah! I almost forgot. Stiz- good to see you, buddy!

Maskrider's addons really do enhance the sim. We are all lucky he does what he does and makes it available in several places, ( the ones he wants  ) . Please keep on doing it!! Hey Stiz  glad you are around!! too. Recently when going to the SOH forums sites I been getting a 'site down cause of technical problems ' and cause of "DDOS attacks" [Distributed Denial of Service]. Does anybody know whats happening ???

I hope they catch who ever is doing this. This kind of behavior only ruins it for the rest of us.

All I think and I know is that this is a fantastic hobby and this wheather it bee Simviation or Sim-outhouse or any of the other Web dedicated to this hobby. They are all great and run by friendly people. Thank to you all.
