I'm curious as to flying online with FS9.
Does everyone that will be flying together have to be running the same version?
Or can one be running FS9 (unpatched) with another running FS9(patched)?

wrong topic??? should be in multiplayer.
No you can use 9.0 or 9.1 in multiplayer.
You can also fly your costum planes however if the other people see you that dont have the costom plane, they will only see a plane that they do have.

Hi Fret, like Cobzz says you'll just need everyone to have the suitable aircraft installed, otherwise it shows up as a default of the machines choice which can be funny sometimes Grin
The 9.1 patch fixed a few minor things (e.g. bridges) so no problem with compatibility as the MP stuff wasn't altered and works well.

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Thanks guys! Sorry Ozzy about placing this in the wrong forum, you would think for as long as I have been around I would have noticed a "multi-player" section! lol

I wasn't sure, I never flown online until I got addicted to IL2 FB/PF and with it everyone must have the same version installed or they aren't compatible.

So by saying a suitable aircraft, that would mean that if I had the F16 and my flying partner didnt he may see anything but a F16??? lol
Thanks for the tip we are wanting to tour each others home areas and I was wanting to fly something other than a Cessna more like a WACO so I will be certain he has the same aircraft I have, if that is the case we shouldnt have any conficts should we?

Thanks again!
Jeff

It's easy to identify the "costum" planes because they're the ones with the clown shoes and rainbow wigs. Tongue

You can fly FS2002 with FS9 as long as it's on an FSHost server that allows it.
