There are only 7 flying 318s in the USA. All of which belong to Frontier!

It's got to be an a319. 8)

How could you google it, the plane registration number isn't available, unless you zoomed in somehow and made it clearer, how do you know it isn't a A320?

You could at least use Google to narrow down the options. I can't tell one modern jet airliner from another but it has to be an A319 or A320 as United doesn't operate the A318.

kev, went to kripsy kreme eh? i always liked that area for taking pics.

do ever try going into O'Hare to take pics, don't get me started on the costruction they're doing at the terminals....

and I wasted $6 for wandering around the economy lot... looking for a good picture place.

Image search, compare the 319 and 318 and search for the continental fleet. Plus, I saved it, enhanced it and interpolated it to a larger size.

I am not trying to start a flame war.....but you said it IS a A319, which yes it COULD be but it may also be a A320.

I was just curious as to how you knew it was a A319 and not an A320, I knew it wasn't an A318, first off since UAL doesn't have A318's and neither does anyother airline in the U.S. other than Frontier, as said in a previous post

To show you people I am not crazy..here are the differences between the A320 and the A319

A319
Wing span 33.91m (111ft 3in), length 33.84m (111ft 0in), height 11.80m (38ft 8.5in). Wing area 122.4m2 (1317.5sq ft).

A320
Wing span 34.09m (111ft 10in), length 37.57m (123ft 3in), height 11.76m (38ft 7in). Wing area 122.6m2 (1319.7sq ft).

Pretty hard to see a difference from any picture, unless you have something else to compare it to

All I know is if it has flat on the bottom engines and that little slope in front of the tail, call it a 737. No slope and round engines, call it a A320... Tongue

Count the windows if you don't believe me, it is what I did... There aren't enough for it to be an A320 and an just looks longer.

It is however a member of the A320 family...
