Out here on Vancouver Island, this is a workhorse.....heavy lift capabilities make it very suitable for the logging industry........did you notice the 6000 lb weight note, above the hoist, on the first set of images ?

Do the both the rotors balance the a/c..
Cause there only seems to be a rudder surface..

Strange machine... Shocked...!

I downloaded it yesterday, took off, spun round backwards in ever decreasing circles, crashed, made a big circular hole in the ground, evacuated, and collected my little Captain Sensible Cessna 152.

I am never, EVER going to get used to flippin' Whirly-Birds... Embarrassed... Cry...!

The propellor needs to be in front of me....
...not above me... Angry...!

Very interesting Ken. I always thought those intermeshing twin rotors were a great idea. This time last year I saw an early Kaman HH-43B Huskie currently awaiting restoration for static display at the Midland Air Museum. Coventry. It looked like a long job.

The Kmax is a very neat helo isn't it? Sounds different than a normal one as well 8)
