think i'll stick to my supercharged pug....not as quick as a ferrari/evo/skyline, but does 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, does the qtr mile in 14.1, and only cost me 3k all in. and i can insure it for £250 a year, park it anywhere, fix it myself and is STILL one one of the best handling cars of all time! plus, unlike most ferrari owners im not scared to give it a thrapping...and regulary do (only on the track though, of course... Wink)

I think it used to have the record for the fastest production car around the Nurburgring at one time.

don't think so, i don't think it could do much damage to an XJ220 (TWR)'s times

It definately held the unofficial record for a standard production car, it was set in 1995 by a Skyline GTR on the old 12.95 mile circuit.

Not sure that the TWR XJ220 is classed as a standard production model - i could be wrong though.

As a result, the new R33 GT-R model, which went on sale in Japan two years ago, holds the unofficial lap record on the legendary 13-mile Nurburgring circuit in Germany, at 7min 59sec, some 21 sec quicker than the best time set by its prececessor, the R32.

it is classed as production in order to allow for its race variant to be raced

I would really like to see modern formula one cars drive the old Nurumburg  nordeschlieff circuit.  That would be something to talk about!  There would be cars flying everywhere.

it would be cool, but the layout wouldn't allow it sadly. Although the record is held by an F1 car from 1975 i believe.

You'll love it!! I went a few years ago & took a M3 round the old circuit - it was mental & quite scary!!
Unfortunately two bikers died at the circuit the weekend I was there.

We also did Eau Rouge in Belguim & that was brilliant.

If you do go to the Nurburgring make sure you visit the bar in the Dorint Hotel - it's brilliant & looks right onto the new circuit.

Cheers,

TSC.

First of all if someone were to ask you what you drive you are to reply with..Skyline not Nissan Grin

Ferrari may be the most renown car builder with the best name and everything. That is precisely the reason why I wouldn't want to have one! Hey look at me being cool in my ferrari  Undecided If you want something fast for less money by a Koeniggsegg CC With a top speed of 387.5 km/h . Or if you want to spend real mony buy an Bugatti Veyron which tops 400 km/h easily and has an 1000+ HP engine. I would prefer the skyline over all of these cuz my god! look at those taillights! Grin Look at everything.  And.......Initial D!!

I wouldn't buy the new bugatti. I still dont believe they have fully fixed the brake problems let alone the tyres.

TSSSS What's fun about driving with brakes? Grin especially when going 400+km/h?
The reason not to buy is cuz it costs 1millon euro's excluding taxes and stuff!
