I was looking at the X-45 at best buy and noticed the joystick doesn't pivot. now is there just a problem with the tester model or does the X-45 not pivot on the Z axis? if it doesn't, thats reason numero uno why i wouldn't but the X-45

When you say "pivot" do you mean can you twist it? If so, the answer is: no. The throttle handle has a rudder bar underneath; instead of twisting the stick to control rudder, you use the fingers on your left hand. Works great, after you get used to it. For the price, it's a great controller...
