You still need too read your instrunents to bee able to fly night missions.

Has any body else notice this as well.

Stratobat very few Bf109 and Fw190 where used defending Germany during the war on night missions. Most were Me110 and Ju 88s.
Its not that your subjestion is a bad one. But what you mostly need are good night equipt Me110  and Ju 88 heavy fighters with night radars.

You also need search lights plus the 88 AAA guns. The game brings one but for some reason it does show up. Maybe Bombadier will able to fix this.

You have cockpit lights to read your instruments by night. As you should realise already with CFS2.

For radars, there isn't anything I know of that can do that. But the Gryphon Aviation Mossies had a little section of the panel where you could put the tactical display and it looked quite good.

And Searchlights and AAA guns are already avaliable.

So the bombing of Germany would be a great one to go for and an addition i've wanted for a long time. Grin

I meant the German 88 AAA. Maybe you guys haven"t had this problem, but I have . The 88 AAA will not show up when I place them on a mission. the Error message shows up instead. I have not found a way to fix this problem.

Hagar your right those are terrific Me110 for night missions.

Stratobat thanks for the SL you gave me while back. I have not found them any where else as free free down load. Thanks again

Just a observation I notice a while back. But it seems to me with Stiz new Textures you can see a little better on exterior views on the out side while flying night missions.

It makes it a little easier to fly in the night, while the old original textures  made it almost impossible to fly night missions. It was simply to dark.

You still need too read your instrunents to bee able to fly night missions.

Where do you get the textures?

Why add WW1 to the poll then?

Well, if everyone voted WW1 I would then think of one. More choice is good Smiley

That is true, but I've never heard of night Bf109s! ??? ??? ??? Not to say that night 109s is untrue. But I do know that Fw190s were used more than the 109s in the night.

That may be so, James, but they were still used none the less Smiley

True, true...

The Searchlights aren't a problem. A few guys put together a set and posted it on SOH some time back

The ones by Martin Wright were a little problematic with FSSC, so I'll check those SOH ones out Cheesy

I've downloaded that one, it will do for me. Wink

Looks like I might do a Night over Germany one. The British bomber defense prob is solved, fly with a wingman! And I've got nearly everything to make the CFS2 addon pack/campaign with.

PS: James the

Bomber
Dynamic Campaign
is nearly ready for uploading !!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Stiz, isn't that a bit rude? Angry I think it's a better idea than Korea, because Fox Four is doing that so why do even more of it instead of a Night over Germany or Spanish Civil War pack? I mean, Fox Four is doing Korea so why have someone else doing Korea as well??

No reason why someone else couldn't do some Korean missions or a campaign if they wish. The idea behind Fox Four is that we wanted to use as much of our own work as possible & have it all available for download from one site. Fortunately we have a very talented team who can create most of what we need. This obviously takes longer than using existing aircraft for example. A major problem with missions & campaigns involving 3rd party aircraft & scenery is when this involves a lot of separate downloads from various places. These sites can often disappear (I could give you many examples) which makes it difficult or sometimes impossible to track these down.

Campaigns involving 3rd party aircraft & scenery are probably the most complex addons for any version of CFS. If at all possible please get some reliable beta testers to check it out for you before uploading it anywhere. It's very easy to miss out a few important files as I know all too well.  Also be prepared to back it up if anyone runs into trouble.

Hagar,

I am into campaigns at the moment and I would like to help the Fox Four team anytime, like with scenery, aircraft finding etc.

Drop me a line if you want any scenery etc. Wink

I might want to let you all know that yes, the IJN thing is out, but I want to do another campaign. Which one next? I was considering USN bomber, or I could do a Nachtjaeger (German nightfighter) one? ??? Smiley

Thanks for the kind offer Bombardier but we have all we need right now. I'm just trying to give anyone thinking of creating missions or a campaign in anything but the default theatre the benefit of my experience. Wink
